NaBloPoMo and DNS issues

There’s this thing that runs in November called NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) where the point is to mush out a novel in 30 days. Although I fancy myself a writer of sorts I am just not up to that kind of pressure and would rather spend the time spinning, knitting, or blogging.

I am really hoping to see many many other yarn and craft fanatics join up, and post once a day for the month of November. Now

for the boring stuff. There was an issue with the domain name servers acting confused with this and some other unrelated websites, and so while the hosts servers were being flawless in their performance the DNS were having identity problems. That seems to be resolved for the moment but I’m keeping an eye on the situation.

It really didn’t help matters that our ISP has some emotional issues that needed to be addressed (it was abandoned at an early age, and always felt inferior to the other ISPs, especially when they started bragging about the size of their servers, it finds it difficult sometimes to connect with it’s peer group.) Anyway our ISP seems to be coming out of denial and working towards accepting personal responsibility for mastering it’s feelings and actions in a much more mature and healthy manner.

  1. This parenting of the ISP sounds so emotionally bedraggling.

  2. Server envy can be damaging.

  3. Yeah, it’s sad really. ;)
