I thought the Saturday mail would hold some sort of promise for me. Nope. Not even a little tiny box to fake me out with false hope. Really, there should be more order in the universe than this. I’m sure it’s something completely reasonable but gosh darn it, I just want my fiber and I’m impatient.

Note: If knitting teaches patience then it has failed miserably with me.

I haven’t really done anything fiber related today, a little random spinning, a couple of rows on the heel of Matt’s sock and a couple of rows on Josey’s afghan. That’s the nice thing about having a few UFOs (UnFinished Objects) as backup for ho-hum waiting for inspiration days.

I accidentally found the Island of MisfitPatterns? and what appears to be my next scarf project “Brooke’s Column of Leaves Scarf” That it does not have a chart makes me a little sad, since I’m feeling more confident about my chart reading abilities, but it is gorgeous patterning and a truly worthy candidate for my precious knitting time. There’s a fabulous article (vent) about men knitting and another one on felting acrylic (no, I’m not going to link those articles you can click around and enjoy more of the site that way.)

I too have some vents about male knitters and the implications of men knitting (as you may know there’s a knitter of the male persuasion in my home) but I’ll save that for another day (possibly tomorrow since it’s Sunday and mailbox watching on Sunday is just kinda’ dumb– not to say I haven’t done it on Sundays where I was under the impression that it was not a Sunday.)
