2. Informal. A long, often elaborate narrative of real or fictitious adventures; an entertaining tale.

Porn: n. creative activity (writing or pictures or films etc.) of no literary or artistic value other than to stimulate sexual desire.

I do keep the site safe for all eyes, the only naughtiness you’ll find here is purely of the yarn sort.

The name yarnporn was not my invention, in fact there was another website of the yarnporn.com variety by an online art project that described “yarn porn” as the way that yarn was posed to appeal to buyers on eBay. When I noticed that the website was no longer live I bought the domain name to keep at least some of the original spirit alive.

I realize that the name might turn a few people away from buying my handspun, and if I offend anyone with the domain name, I’m truly sorry, I hope this page helps explain a little of the motivation behind such an indiscrete name.
